A Prayer for Overcoming Anxious Thoughts

Heavenly Father,

I come to You with a mind weighed down by worry and a heart troubled by anxious thoughts. You know every fear, every doubt, and every burden I carry. I lay them at Your feet, trusting in Your power and love to bring me peace.

Lord, calm the storm within me. Replace my anxiety with the assurance of Your presence. Remind me that You are my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Teach me to trust in Your promises, knowing that You care for me and have plans for my good.

Help me to take captive every thought that does not come from You. When my mind races with fear, may Your Word be my anchor. Fill my heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding my mind and spirit in Christ Jesus.

Give me courage to face each day, knowing that I am never alone. Grant me wisdom to discern what I can control and the grace to surrender what I cannot. Help me to rest in Your love, to breathe deeply in Your presence, and to walk boldly in faith.

Thank You for being my safe place and my constant comforter. I trust You to guide me through this season of anxiety, step by step, as You lead me into Your perfect peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
