A prayer for regret over hurtful words

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heart weighed down by the regret of the hurtful words I have spoken.

I know my words have caused pain, and for that, I am deeply sorry. Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness and for the strength to make things right.

Help me to reflect on the impact of my words and to take responsibility for the harm they have caused.

Lord, tame my tongue and guide my speech so that my words may build others up rather than tear them down.

Teach me to pause, to reflect, and to speak with kindness, compassion, and grace, especially in moments of frustration or anger.

Thank You for Your patience with me and for the opportunity to grow and do better. In Jesus' name, Amen.
