A Prayer for Healing from Anger

Heavenly Father,

I come to You today, burdened by the anger that I feel within me. I know that anger, when unchecked, can hurt others, myself, and my relationship with You. I humbly ask for Your help to heal me and transform my heart.

Lord, I surrender my anger to You. I ask that You take this heavy weight and replace it with Your peace and love. Show me the root of my anger, whether it stems from hurt, frustration, or fear, and help me to address it with grace and understanding.

Teach me, Father, to respond with patience and wisdom when I feel provoked. Give me the strength to pause, to pray, and to act in ways that reflect Your goodness. Help me to choose forgiveness over resentment and compassion over hostility.

Holy Spirit, fill me with Your presence and guide my emotions. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Transform my thoughts, so I can see situations and people through Your eyes of love.

Lord, I pray for healing in any relationships that have been damaged by my anger. Grant me the courage to apologize when I’ve been wrong and the humility to seek reconciliation. Help me to build bridges of understanding and restore harmony where there is tension.

Thank You, Father, for Your patience with me and for the forgiveness You continually offer. I trust in Your ability to calm the storms within me and to lead me toward a life of peace and joy. In Jesus' name, Amen.
