A Prayer for Forgiveness and Healing

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble and contrite heart, recognizing my need for Your grace and mercy. I confess my sins and shortcomings, knowing that I have fallen short of Your glory in my thoughts, words, and actions. I have allowed pride, fear, anger, and selfishness to separate me from the peace and love You desire for me.

Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness. Wash me clean with the blood of Jesus Christ and renew my spirit. Help me to turn away from anything that displeases You and to walk in righteousness. Thank You for the gift of Your Son, whose sacrifice on the cross has made forgiveness and redemption possible for me.

Father, I also seek Your healing—healing for my soul, my mind, and my body. You are the Great Physician, and I trust in Your power to restore what is broken. Heal the wounds caused by my mistakes, and help me to forgive myself as You have forgiven me. Heal the pain I carry from the words or actions of others, and help me to extend forgiveness to them as well.

Lord, fill me with Your peace and love, replacing guilt and shame with hope and joy. Strengthen me to resist temptation and to live a life that honors You. Teach me to rely on Your strength rather than my own, and guide me to make choices that reflect Your goodness.

Holy Spirit, dwell within me and transform my heart. Lead me to grow in compassion, humility, and love for others. Help me to see myself and others through Your eyes, with grace and understanding.

Thank You, Father, for being a God of second chances. Thank You for Your patience and for never giving up on me. I trust in Your promise that if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

I lay my burdens at Your feet and ask for Your guidance as I move forward. May Your presence be my comfort, Your Word my strength, and Your love my foundation. Help me to walk in the freedom and healing that comes from being forgiven by You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
