A Prayer for Forgiveness After a Major Mistake

Heavenly Father,

I come before You, burdened by my own actions and in need of Your forgiveness.

I know I have made a mistake that has impacted others, and I deeply regret the harm I have caused.

I ask for Your mercy to cleanse me of the guilt and shame that weigh upon my heart.

Guide me in seeking forgiveness from those I’ve wronged, and grant me the strength to take responsibility and make amends.

Help me to learn from this experience, to grow in wisdom and humility, and to act with integrity in the future.

May Your grace remind me that while I am imperfect, Your love and forgiveness are infinite.

Restore peace to my soul, Lord, and renew my faith in the path You have set for me.

I ask these things with a sincere and open heart, trusting in Your compassion.In Jesus' name, Amen.
